Description

A comforting baked dish combining tender steak, sautéed onions, bell peppers, and melted cheese in a creamy sauce. A crowd-pleasing, quick-to-prepare alternative to the classic sandwich.


Ingredients

1 lb lean ground beef or thinly sliced sirloin
2 cups frozen chopped green peppers
1 cup frozen chopped onions
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup milk
1 cup shredded provolone cheese
1 cup mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional)


Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
Sauté green peppers and onions until softened
Cook ground beef or steak until browned and crumbly
Mix with peppers, onions, mayonnaise, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, and garlic powder
Blend in milk to create a meat mixture
Spread evenly in a casserole dish
Top with shredded cheeses
Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top (optional)
Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbling and golden
